Using the app you can mask areas that won't be detected by the system using the activity zone feature
I have some detection from the street. How can I mask these alerts? using the activity zone feature.
Where is the camera placed?
Please make sure to place the camera as follow:
1. An unobstructed view of the entire pool with at least 6 feet of the surrounding area of the pool.
2. The Camera’s field of view should be setback no more than 25ft from the nearest edge of the pool.
3.The Camera should be located at a height of 7-10ft from the ground tilted downward towards the pool.
4. The field of view can be manually adjusted from 103° (wide) down to 32° (narrow) to compensate for camera setbacks greater than 25ft.
Can I integrate the PoolScout with 3rd party services?
Currently, PoolScout does not offer integration with third-party services. However, we are actively working on expanding our features to include integration with popular smart home projects like Home Assistant and HomeBridge. Our goal is to enable poolscout alerts to seamlessly interact with these third-party services, enhancing the overall functionality and convenience for our users. Risks and challenges
As a cloud-based application, PoolScout can work with a variety of cameras and therefore we are always looking to offer the best hardware to work with PoolScout. Please note that the exact camera model is subject to change. The wired version of PoolScout is on sale today in the US and working well so the main risk for this project is the delivery of the new hardware. In order to provide consistent and safe monitoring, PoolScout requires a stable and robust internet connection (upload speed minimum of 5Mbps). Additionally, the Wi-Fi camera offers a range of 120m (open field) but each installation is subject to the specific Wi-Fi signal strength where installed.
