What is an Activity Zone?
The latest PoolScout update includes a new feature requested by many customers: The ability to add an Activity Zone in the pool area, so all detections outside it are ignored by the AI.
How do PoolScout alerts work?
In the event of a high-severity event— such as unattended toddler near the pool, PoolScout will activate the alarm unit and will send phone alerts to all the contacts added to your PoolScout app.
Within the app, the Live Stream allows to quickly decide on how to react. When an unsafe scenario is detected, the app displays the most relevant actions you might need to perform as well as your predetermined contacts, so you can reach those people when it matters most.
What type of events trigger alerts?
PoolScout provides the following alerts (that activate the Camera Alarm unit):
Unattended Toddler - If a toddler (4 years old or younger) is identified in or around the pool without adult supervision
Person Underwater - If a person inside the pool is submerged for more than 10 seconds
Person Detected (Security Mode) - If Security Mode is active and a person is detected
Can I mute alerts?
Yes, you can mute alerts for 15, 30 or 60 minutes. While this mode is on there will be no alerts sent, so please ensure there’s constant adult supervision while alerts are muted.
How do I report a false alert?
From the app Timeline, you can view all the recordings that were triggered by an unsafe event. If after watching the video you conclude it was a false alert, you can report it by tapping the False Alert button.
How do I turn on ‘pool in use’ notifications?
From the app Settings/Alerts, under Preferences.
What is ‘PoolScout Labs’?
Over the last 12 months, we’ve been testing and upgrading PoolScout through a Beta program with over 200 participants in the USA. Thanks to their ongoing feedback, PoolScout AI has been constantly learning and improving.
However, there are certain capabilities that need further work, so we keep them under a ‘Labs’ section, so those customers who want to test them before we launch them for everyone.
